Honour of Winning 1st Position by a Pakistani Woman in World Competition

It is announced with great pleasure and honour that Ms Haneen Abdul Qayyum of Pakistan has secured 1st position in International Remotely World Hifz Quran Reciting Contest, held under World Islamic Call Society, Tripoli, Libya. World Islamic Call Society, Libya is a well-known organization and has branch offices in many countries. Its activities cover aspects of religion and education, and provide humanitarian relief. The Society won approval in high places. The participation was from over forty (40) countries of Africa, Asia, Europe and America. The ceremony of the finals was attended by H.E. Sajid Iqbal, Ambassador of Pakistan on July 29, 2020 at Al Mahary Hotel, Tripoli. The unprecedented contest was held online due to Coronavirus Pandemic. There was a great applause when name of the winner was announced, and later the participants appreciated the winner and Pakistan as a country of great talent and potential. The Ambassador congratulated all Pakistanis on this coveted achievement. On August 10, 2020, Dr. Salah Salem, President of World Islamic Call Society along with five faculty members visited Pakistan Embassy Tripoli and delivered a Certificate and Cash Prize of US$ 3,225.00 in respect of Ms. Haneen Abdul Qayyum to the Ambassador. Ambassador’s appreciation letter along with original certificate and cash Prize is being forwarded to the winner as per the details received from her. The Ambassador also listened online recitation of Quran and congratulated Ms. Haneen for her achievement. The Ambassador’s meeting with the President World Islamic Call Society was fruitful. They discussed areas of mutual interest. He congratulated the delegation for arranging a successful world competition at this hard time of Coronavirus. At the end, gifts were presented to the honourable guests.
